It's been a while since playing softball - grad school in fact when I played left field for the truly illustrious and unforgettable "Dirk's Jerks": the name for all physics grad school teams entered into Stanford Intramural leagues. Consistently embarassing business school teams and fraternities from across the university once they found out that they just got pounded by supposed geeks from physics. That was playing with the great big, spankable "blooper balls". The big adjustment is the smaller ball that carries further, th! ! ose airplanes flying so low, and just can't get used to having a rover there for the short balls.... Oh yes, and the high-tech, new-fangled, top it up with liquid nitrogen in the morning, bats.
