Santa Cruz. The biggest adjustment required in the transition from U.C. Santa Cruz intramural softball to the Geneva Softball League involved the occasional chaotic trajectories of ! ground-balls, which I assumed was due to an increase in quantum uncertainty around the lip of the infield grass. At the end of the 1995 season, I was traded back to UCSC for the mysterious player to be named later. Due to the good graces of the GSL management, I am allowed to relive old glories with the CERN team for a few weeks each summer. Back in Santa Cruz, apart from continued successes in both men's and coed intramural softball, I specialize in supersymmetry, Higgs bosons, intermediate vector baseballs, and other figments of the theoretical mind. |
