Howard ("the Habe") Haber attempts to defy the aging process and dredge up distant memories of the glorious 1995 CERN softball championship season, in a brief four week return to the Childers Field of dreams. The biggest adjustment required in the transition from intramural softball at UC Santa Cruz to the Geneva Softball League involves the occasional chaotic trajectories of ground-balls, which is presumably due to an increase in quantum uncertainty around the lip of the infield grass. In September, it is back to paradise, Higgs hunting, the pursuit of intermediate vector baseballs at SBC Park and other figments of the theoretical mind.
